По информации МЧС, сведений о пострадавших нет. Церковь входит в храмовый комплекс Духовно-просветительского центра во имя Святых мучениц Веры, Надежды, Любови и матери их Софии.
По информации очевидцев церковь сгорела практически полностью. Причины возгорания пока неизвестны. На месте пожара работаел корреспондент ИА «Бел.Ру».
На месте происшествия находятся секретарь Cовета безопасности области Сергей Литвинов, первый заместитель мэра Белгорода Василий Болтенков и секретарь городского совбеза Михаил Побудилин.
По информации пресс-службы областной службы спасения, площадь возгорания на стройплощадке храма Святых мучениц Веры, Надежды, Любови и матери их Софии составила 1 800 квадратных метров. В ликвидации пожара приняли участие четыре пожарных части Белгорода.
Было задействовано восемь единиц пожарной техники, четыре единицы спецтехники (лестницы) и четыре поливочных машины. Пожару был присвоен II ранг сложности. Помехи создала погода. Из-за сильного ветра и дождя металлическая кровля храма была скользкой. Однако уже в 16:36 пожар был полностью ликвидирован.
